Inspiraton

For each new morning, with its light
For rest and shelter from the night
For health, and food, and loving friends
For everything thy goodness sends
We thank the great almighty
Amen

My Grandfather used to say this prayer before each meal. It is so simple, but so perfect.

- Did I make it through the night?
          Check
- Do I have a roof over my head?
         Check
- Am I healthy, well fed, and surrounded by love?
         Triple Check
- Am I enjoying some of life's little bonuses?
         Check

Then I have all the reason in the world to give thanks and celebrate!
